Our Heritage: Zahle, Lebanon – The Bride of the Bekaa

Nestled in the stunning Bekaa Valley, Zahle is known as the “Bride of the Bekaa” for its breathtaking landscapes, vineyards, and unique cultural traditions. As a historical center of poetry, literature, and Lebanese identity, Zahle represents the resilience and warmth of its people.

The city’s rich history dates back centuries, flourishing as a center of agriculture, commerce, and hospitality. Its residents take pride in Zahle’s iconic “Berdawni River Walk” and its many festivals that celebrate faith, family, and food.

Our Purpose

ZCAC was founded with one goal: to provide support and alleviate hardship for Zahle’s families and communities. Our charitable initiatives focus on basic needs, such as delivering meals, school supplies, and essential clothing, working directly with established welfare organizations in Zahle.

As part of our mission, we also strive to preserve and celebrate Zahle’s heritage—bridging the gap between generations in California and Lebanon through cultural events, storytelling, and community gatherings.
